The ranks are closing at the top as Michigan Tech pulled in 4 first-place votes, leaving Bemidji State slipping away from their recent dominance in the polls with only 6 first-place votes this week. Tech's weekend sweep of Bowling Green pushed them up while BSU's split with 8th-place (WCHA) Lake Superior State likely took a few points off.
Strangely, however, LSSU dropped from 5th to 7th in our poll, but that may be attributable to Ferris splitting with Minnesota State, and UAH sweeping Northern Michigan. The only other movement in the week was Alaska-Anchorage jumping over an NMU team that many see as slipping, having only won a single game in the last month. UAA split with their sister school in Fairbanks.
